چکیده

(FACJ) system and its core tool, RealScape. RealScape automatically detects changes in the height and color of buildings based on three-dimensional analysis of aerial photographs. The three-dimensional analysis employs a pixel-by-pixel stereo processing method that calculates the height of each pixel in aerial photographs and thus enables precise difference detection between previous and current aerial photographs. The FACJ system reduces the labor costs to one third of the traditional approach and the required judgment duration to about two weeks per 100 km2. The FACJ system was experimentally used by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government for the first time in 2005. Since then, it has been used at its tax bureau every year to calculate the municipality’s fixed-asset tax. After the success in Tokyo, other major city governments, including Osaka and Sapporo, have followed suit.

Airport Obstacle Extraction by Aerial Photograh Stereo Matching

Terrain and obstacle detection is very important for the safety of aircraft operation. The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) issued the requirements for electronic Terrain and Obstacle Data (eTOD) in 2004. The requirements request all countries to finish the survey of eTOD around large airports by 2010. Nevertheless, no traditional surveying approaches satisfy the required precis...

Investigation of Accuracy for Digital Elevation Models Generated with Different Methods in Photogrammetry

This paper describes the methodology of a DEM generation from stereo aerial images and the results of experiments in terms of accuracy of generated DEM. In this study, Images, which have 1/10000 and 1/16000 scale, and a test area established about 1 km in Selcuk University Campus Area were used. Aerial photographs were scanned by ZEISS SCAI Photogrammetric Scanner (pixel size is 21μ). Aerial im...

Height Determination of Extended Objects Using Shadows in SPOT Images

Building heights were estimated with relatively high accuracy using shadows in a set of single-look SPOT panchromatic and multispectral images taken from the same satellite simultaneously. Shadows cast b y rows of trees in SPOT images were first used to estimate mean heights of trees. Calibration lines were then constructed to relate the actual mean heights of rows of trees to the estimated hei...
